Business: Ice Water Vending
Akua Frimpong has a family to feed. With her husband's untimely death, Akua needed to take of their four children. To provide food, clothing, shelter, and schooling, Akua realized she could earn enough by selling ice-water in certain areas of Kumasi. After successfully completing an initial round of financing, Akua was able to transition to selling other goods.

Team Member Spotlight
Sam joined the Sun Shade Foundation in order to make a difference in West Africa. Well-traveled in West Africa, Sam worked primarily on the Foundation's operations. The skills he acquired at UBS in Switzerland helped the Foundation in its early stages. Sam continues to be connected to foundation while attending Oxford's Said School of Business.
